JILL PAULZINE, age 72, of Wilmont, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her home in Worthington. She was born December 20, 1951, in Slayton, to Raymond and Margaret (Schettler) Paulzine. She graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic High School, in Wilmont, in 1969. Jill then attended Minnesota West then Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
She moved to Alexandria and St. Cloud before moving to Willmar where she worked for VOC Rehab with handicapped adults until she retired in 1995. Jill moved back to Wilmont with her mom in 2000. In 2013, she bought her home on 3rd Ave. She lived there until June of 2019, when she moved the Meadows where she passed due to mental health issues and Parkinson’s.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. She was an avid reader. Jill never found a library she didn’t love. She enjoyed playing softball until she slid into a base and broke her ankle. She took her mom to Rome in 1995. They were in awe that they walked on & touched the same stones that Jesus did.
Jill is survived by her eleven siblings, Roger Paulzine, Adrian; Bill (Mary) Paulzine, Alexandria; Carolyn Penning, Wilmont; Tom (Sandy) Paulzine, Iona; Tim (Barb) Paulzine, Iona; Tony (Sue) Paulzine, Iona; Mary (Ken) Stommes, St. Joseph, MN; Lisa (Dave) Vang, Deerwood; Curtis (Cheryl) Paulzine, Monticello; Deanna (friend, Greg Koob) Paulzine, St. Cloud; and Lee (Dana) Paulzine, Holdingford; thirty five nieces & nephews; seventy two great-nieces & nephews; and nine great-great-nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray in 1978; Margaret in 2013; and a sister, Janine in 2017.
A time of fellowship will be from 6-7 pm, with parish prayers at 6 pm, Tuesday, April 23, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont. Time of fellowship will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 Wednesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Wilmont, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Wilmont.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Ecumen Meadows or the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington.
